Print Ability is the newest print aid to the craft market. Paint
Print Abilty onto difficult to print fabric such as Lutradur and
see the difference. Instead of the ink just fading away as it
dries, Print.Ability will hold onto the ink and to give a brighter
image. What’s more, Print.Abilty will help to hold onto
the ink if you have to put the piece into water, although repeated
washing is not recommended. If washing white cotton type fabrics,
use in conjunction with a scourer such as Synthapol or Colsperse,
as loose ink in the water will stain the fabric.
9 gsm wet strength tissue is now available in fusible form with
a very fine, smooth fusible layer on one side. Comes attached
to carrier sheet so can be easily painted or printed through an
inkjet printer. Fused with a domestic iron at a medium high temperatures.
Linger time will determine whether or not the fuse is permanent.
Can be reversed with a solvent. Easily to stitch when used in
conjunction with quilting techniques.
Ever wanted a product like Pelmet Vilene that you could
distress? Well here it is - again new to the market for Autumn
2008. 100% synthetic that can be painted, distressed & stitched,
but that can also be burned & distressed. 3D dimension objects
are a breeze, as Spunbonded Utrla can be split into layers which
makes easy work of creating rounded shapes.

GOLDEN Digital Grounds turn just about any relatively flat
surface into an ink-jet printable surface, providing the control
and freedom to create textures and surfaces at whatever scale
and shape desired.
While almost any porous surface that is flat enough can be run
through an ink-jet printer, including off-the-shelf papers made
for printmaking and watercolor, results are usually less than
satisfactory with the resulting image dull, faint or blurry. For
the most part this is caused by the substrate being overly absorbent,
with no way to encapsulate or prevent the ink from spreading outward
or penetrating too far into the surface.
Conversely, on non-porous materials like acetate, plastic and
metal, the inks readily pool up, run, and are easily smeared by
both the printer mechanism and subsequent handling. In order to
combat these problems and achieve the desired richness of color
and detail, each droplet of ink somehow needs to be kept distinct
and held in place by the substrate
.Digital Ground White (Matte)
is a porous, opaque, white ground for use on a multitude of surfaces.
As a porous ink-jet coating, it allows prints to dry extremely
rapidly, making it the safest choice for use with unmodified desktop
printers that still have ‘pizza wheels’ or ejection
rollers. It is also an ideal starting point for the first-time
user looking for the most trouble free application on a wide range
of materials. 236 ml £9.95
Digital Ground Clear (Gloss) is a clear ground with a gloss sheen
for use on most absorbent surfaces, allowing the underlying material
to show through. The nature of this type of ink-jet receptive
coating, means that prints dry much more slowly, which can present
problems for desktop printers that have ejection rollers or ‘pizza
wheels’. Because of this, we do not recommend using relatively
nonporous substrates coated with the Digital Ground Clear on a
desktop printer unless the printer’s ‘pizza wheels’
or ejection rollers have been removed. However, when used on very
porous surfaces like paper, this should not present a problem.
236 ml £9.95
Digital Ground for Non-Porous Surfaces is similar to the Clear
described above but optimized for increased adhesion and performance
on non-porous surfaces such as aluminum or plastic. We do not
recommend using the Digital Ground for Non-Porous Surfaces on
a desktop printer unless the printer’s ‘pizza wheels’
or ejection rollers have been removed. 236 ml £9.95

Dye-Na-Flow is a free flowing, concentrated liquid color for
use on any untreated fabric. It will spread on fabric until it
is thoroughly absorbed and even. Every fabric has a different
flow and spread. It is magical on silk, but it works on any type
of fiber, natural and synthetic. On silk it has an even luster.
On velvet it is rich. On cotton the color does not alter the feel
of the fabric. Dye-Na-Flow is incredibly versatile.
It is perfect for silk painting including the serti technique
with resist, spray-on tie dye, watercolor, airbrushing, salt technique,
spritzing through stencils, sponge printing and simplified batik
or wax resist effects.
